How to make a cloth bat


In this how-to I will teach you how to make a cloth bat. This is what you need to make it:

  • Scissors

  • Black paint

  • Black marker/sharpie

  • Extra paper and pencil

  • Some type of light colored cloth( I used old clothes)

  • 1 thick paintbrush

  • 1 thin paintbrush

  • Tape

  • Glue 


Once you have those materials you can begin. If you have any other materials like googly eyes or 

decorations you can add them at the end. After the bat is finished you can always add extra. Now lets 

begin!


Step 1

For the first step you will need your paper and pencil to practice drawing your bat first. At the bottom of 

the step I have included a step by step on how to draw your bat with circles around the new parts. Just 

like you can add eyes you can also customize the ears you can make squares for ears, you could make 

little humps for ears, you can even make spikey ears. On the wings you make more bumps or less bumps 

before you connect the lines at the end and make the point. And instead of making a point you can make 

a hump it is your choice on how you want to customize your creation.


Step 2 

Next take your cloth material and once you finish practicing drawing the bat draw the bat with a black 

marker/sharpie. Make sure that the outline is dark but do not color it in. Then get your black paint. Now 

you have another choice, you can put the paint directly on the bat then spread it. Or you can put it on a 

spare tray and put it on that way. After you finish you can lay it aside and if you want you can make 

another one while it dries.


Step 3

After it dries, cut out your bat. Then you can put on extra decorations. After you finish your bat you can 

glue or tape it on something and hang it up. you can also give it lots of friends! Have fun!!

My expirence at the Whitewater Center Rock Ride Paddle camp

  The Whitewater camp called Rock, Ride, Paddle is a one week long camp in which you do various activities throughout the week. Some of the activities include whitewater kayaking, rock climbing, and mountain biking. There are other camps like Adventure camp but they are not focused on certain activities. Below are the activities we did and how each of them were. Whitewater Kayaking Whitewater kayaking is when you ride rapids and learn how to control a kayak. The first thing you learn is  how to put on the gear and after that you learn how to wet exit if you flip over. After that you get in the  water and practice. We were supposed to kayak for around 2 hrs per day but the first day that we were  supposed to kayak they were testing the water and didn't want people in the water.
