London and Paris part 2
We recently held our second and final pre-departure meeting. This was a session designed to cover every last detail before we set off. Everyone presented their questions and concerns, and we went over everything from the big plans to the small details. This meeting was an important moment in our preparations because it allowed us to share a common understanding and build a sense of unity. One major focus of our prep was ensuring all our travel plans are locked in. We double-checked every booking: flights, hotels, trains, and buses. Knowing these essential details are taken care of gives everyone peace of mind. With the big chunks in place, we could shift our focus to the smaller stuff. For example, everyone picked up their official EF backpack during the meeting. These backpacks are a great way to keep our belongings close when we’re out exploring, especially on busy streets or crowded sights. We also bought a few recommended items from the packing list, such as power adapters that work in Europe, reusable water bottles to stay hydrated, and weather-appropriate clothing for different climates. These simple items will make a big difference, helping us stay comfortable and connected throughout the trip.
Our preparations went beyond just packing. I also ordered travel accessories like fannypacks or crossbody bags. These are perfect for holding our passports, cash, and other essentials while we’re in busy places. The idea is to keep these valuables safe yet easy to reach. We made sure our suitcases meet European size and weight limits too, to avoid any surprises when we’re at the airport or on the train. It’s a small detail, but it saves us from having to repack or pay extra fees. Each of these little tasks helps us feel more organized and ready to go. We’ve practiced packing strategies, double-checked all our travel documents, and even started planning what outfits to wear on specific days. We’re excited to wear comfortable shoes for sightseeing, a nice outfit for dinners, and lighter clothes for warm days.
As the trip gets closer, excitement keeps building. We’ve gone over our itinerary, reviewed our schedule, and discussed what we want to get out of each city. We’re not just getting ready to travel — we’re gearing up to learn, explore, and make memories. These final steps, like checking our luggage weight or packing the right clothes help us feel more confident. We’re prepared and excited to see new places, meet new people, and experience parts of Europe that we’ve only dreamed about.
